Prior to moving to Boston, Mark lived and practiced in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas, and also handled matters in other jurisdictions, including Delaware. Mark has represented public companies and their boards of directors and board committees, private companies including investment banks and private equity funds and portfolio companies, and individuals including officers and directors of public and private companies, members and partners of limited liability companies and partnerships, investors and controlling minority shareholders. His practice focuses on business litigation and corporate counseling, including securities litigation, SEC civil actions, SEC investigations and inquiries, SOX whistleblower actions, shareholder derivative actions, contests for corporate control, corporate governance counseling and internal investigations. In litigation, he represents clients as plaintiffs as often as defendants. Without regard to the client or the nature of the matter, Mark is a business lawyer and problem-solver who makes it a point to understand the client’s business, near and long-term strategic and financial goals and risk tolerance, in order to provide the client timely and solution-oriented advice.
