Career Path
Kevin began his practice with a large Connecticut firm, where he conducted a broad business litigation practice. In 1998, he joined the Boston firm of Peabody & Brown which, following a merger, became Nixon Peabody, LLP. Kevin joined Yurko, Salvesen & Remz in 2001.

Practice
In his 15 years of practice, Kevin has conducted ten complex commercial trials to verdict or judgment, at a 90% success rate.  He has over one dozen reported decisions including from the United States Supreme Court and the Connecticut Supreme Court. 

He has represented clients in various State Courts, as well as the the First, Second and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, the United States Supreme Court and various state and self regulatory agencies such as the NASD, state securities and banking divisions, the MCAD, and the Massachusetts Division of Employment and Training. 

Kevin specializes in complex business litigation, with an emphasis on management side employment litigation, trade secret and non- competition cases. His practice also emphasizes securities broker-dealer cases, and construction and real estate law. He represents clients in a variety of other business cases such as high technology, products liability, land use, eminent domain and administrative matters.

  • Successfully defended national consulting and management services firm against $40 million in claims of securities violations, corporate mismanagement and fraud claims.  Case was resolved with no payment from the firm.
  • Successfully prosecuted multimillion dollar breach of contract claims on behalf of fund founder and management company for $34 million dollar foreign investment fund.
  • Successfully prosecuted $11 million dollar claim on behalf of seller of commercial real estate against major university regarding propriety of sale price holdbacks due to asserted construction defects and lease violations.
  • Successfully defended two high worth individuals against claims of fraudulent conveyance asserted at $10 million.  Result was a very favorable settlement of minor payment by individuals, release and dismissal of case.
  • Successfully prosecuted suit for $ ¾ million of partnership distributions on behalf of limited partners.  Obtained 100% of claimed distributions.
  • Successfully prosecuted $2 million breach of contract claim on behalf of the largest cellular tower licensor and operator in the country.  Case was resolved to benefit of company after arbitration demand, communications with counsel, and initial discovery.
  • Successfully prosecuted multimillion dollar claim of breach of interest rate lock swap agreement for real estate development company against top investment bank.
  • Successfully prosecuted $2 million claim for publicly traded cell tower operator in contract dispute with tower manufacturer.
  • Successfully enjoined competitive activity against national tourism company by former outside sales director, which threatened significant revenues of the company.
